Application Prerequisites

Prospective students must meet the minimum requirements:

  • Possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or its equivalent from a foreign institution
     
  • Have earned at least a 3.0 or B grade-point-average in the most recent two years of study
     
  • Evidence of professional work experience in a field related to communication or digital media, or exemplary undergraduate achievement in related field.
     
  • GRE, GMAT, or LSAT scores are required, but by petition this requirement may be waived for those with previous graduate work or substantial professional work experience (at least ten years) in communication, technology, or related field. Copies of your test scores are acceptable.
     
    INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: An international applicant is anyone who is not a United States citizen or Permanent Resident. To check your eligibility, try the preliminary evaluation questionnaire.

One requirement is to provide documentation that you are able to pay the total estimated costs of living and going to school in the United States. Instructions on how to provide documentation are given to you when you apply. For the calendar year 2008-09, the total estimated cost of living expenses, tuition and other campus fees is US $53,194.00. If not attending summer quarter, the cost is $40,257.00. 

International applicants must also take one of these tests of English fluency:
