Earning The Degree
Course Format
MCDM offers evening classes at the main campus of the University of Washington to fit the schedules of working professionals. MCDM does not offer day or online courses.
Matriculating
Students start the MCDM in the summer or autumn quarter. It is possible to take up to two courses (ten credits) prior to matriculating, on a space available basis as a GNM (Graduate Non-matriculated) student.

For part-time students, the Master of Communication in Digital Media is set up for students to take five credits per quarter and take three years to complete. Students may find that one or two quarters they will have to register for 10 credits in order to complete course requirements.
For full-time students, the Master of Communication in Digital Media is set up for students to take 10 credits per quarter and 15 months to complete, including the summer. International students must attend full time and maintain a mininum of 10 credits per quarter.
